Darcy Turner (RSW) is a queer psychotherapist located in Toronto, ON with over a decade of experience providing individual therapy to adults and teens. She is an experienced trauma therapist, clinical supervisor, and educator.
Darcy’s primary focus is supporting people impacted by trauma. This focus has guided her extensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) both of which focus on a mind-body approach to healing. Clients often describe her style as warm, direct and creative. She seeks to foster a safe and welcoming environment that celebrates the richness of people’s diverse life experiences and resilience. All of her work is guided by anti-oppression and social justice tenets.
In addition to her part-time private practice she has worked for the past 10years in a trauma therapy program. She also provided clinical consultation to a mental health team at a LGBTQ+ Youth organization.
