About Me

Darcy Turner is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto and has been a practising psychotherapist for over a decade. Prior to her Masters degree, she worked in community based mental health agencies where she was actively involved in community organizing, education, and policy development around increasing access to mental health services. In her therapeutic approach, Darcy incorporates an intersectional analysis which holds the impact power, oppression, and structural violence has on our overall health.

In addition to her direct clinical work she provides clinical consultation to other therapists and mental health teams, trauma specific trainings/workshops, and student supervision. She also participates in a number of provincial and local committees that seek to foster social change.

At the heart of her practice she believes in everyone’s capacity to make changes, respond to life’s challenges, and connect to their resilience.
